The act of exchanging books has become electronic, potentially. Revealed in this process: the bookshop as more than the sum of individual acts of exchange, more than its stock. Within its bricks and mortar, through its browsing, as repository, a certain circulation takes place; non-translatable, essential to the commerce of thinking.

Within this context, via the tradition of the liberal arts, we buy and sell second-hand scholarly books, with an accent on philosophy, the metropolis, the general intellect, and poetics.

If you have a collection of books that you're thinking of selling, send an email to books@283college.ca.
